VTV1 7PM NEWS COVERAGE – 3rd CONGRESS OF THE VIETNAM PRIVATE HOSPITALS ASSOCIATION
On August 3, 2025, in Hanoi, the 3rd Congress of the Vietnam Private Hospitals Association for the 2025–2030 term took place solemnly, attended and directed by Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, along with leaders of numerous central ministries and agencies.
Prof. Honorary Academician Nguyen Van De – Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Member of the Prime Minister’s Administrative Procedure Reform Advisory Council, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hop Luc Corporation – was once again elected President of the Association for the 2025–2030 term, alongside an Executive Committee of 82 members.
The Professor and Academician affirmed that the Association will accelerate digital transformation, improve service quality, and promote international integration to build a modern, professional private healthcare sector that works hand in hand with the public system.
The Congress set a key target: by 2030, private hospital beds will account for 15% of the nation’s total. Vietnam currently has around 400 private hospitals and nearly 50,000 private clinics in operation.
A representative of the Ministry of Health emphasized that for private healthcare to become a pillar of the national health system, special incentive policies are needed, while encouraging the development of large-scale, specialized private hospitals of national and international stature.
At the Congress, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh presented Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to the Association and Prof. Honorary Academician Nguyen Van De, recognizing their positive contributions to the cause of protecting and caring for public health.
On this occasion, the Association also donated 10 charity houses to disadvantaged households and contributed 1 billion VND to support communities in flood-affected areas of Dien Bien Province.
