On October 21, in Thuy Phu commune, Huong Thuy town (Thua Thien Hue), Hop Luc Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony and put into operation Phuc Lac Vien Spiritual Crematorium – Hue Crematorium.

Phuc Lac Vien Spiritual Crematorium – Hue General Cremation Center is located at the New Southern People’s Cemetery (Thuy Phu Commune, Huong Thuy Town), 17km from the center of Hue City, with a scale of 2.3 hectares. The total investment of the project is 128 billion VND, installing 2 cremation furnaces and planning to install 6 furnaces when necessary.
Hue General Cremation Center uses cremation furnaces branded TABO (Sweden), directly installed and operated by the manufacturer and engineering team of Hop Luc Joint Stock Company. TABO crematorium uses gas fuel combustion technology, heating temperature over 1,000 degrees Celsius, ensuring environmental standards, no smoke, no odor, no dust, no toxic air and has been certified by competent authorities.
The crematorium is designed as a spiritual cultural work with main items including: Funeral area, cremation furnace area, temple of gods, management house, spiritual Buddha statue area, waiting room, cold room for preserving corpses and other auxiliary works.
In which, the temple of gods is built, decorated solemnly, sacredly and is the place to welcome the soul of the deceased during the cremation process. Phuc Lac Vien has 3 ceremony rooms to perform the ceremony of sending off the deceased before cremation, including 1 room reserved for Catholics.
Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, General Director of Hop Luc Joint Stock Company, said that this is one of 7 projects in the chain of cremation centers and eternal ecological cemeteries under the brand name “Phuc Lac Vien” that Hop Luc Joint Stock Company has been implementing in the Central region. The project is implemented to respond to the policy of calling for and attracting investment of Thua Thien Hue province and the policy of encouraging socialized investment in the environmental sector of the Government, meeting the needs of local people. According to Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, in addition to cremation and cemetery services, the enterprise also provides funeral-related services. With attentive service and a team of dedicated professional care staff, 24/7 support, Phuc Lac Vien Thua Thien Hue will provide solutions for organization space and closed funeral process, reducing the pressure from funerals of each family, supporting customers to complete all rituals and needs when necessary. In addition to Thua Thien Hue province, Hop Luc Joint Stock Corporation has built and put into operation crematoriums of the same name Phuc Lac Vien in Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Gia Lai. Hop Luc Joint Stock Corporation hopes that Thua Thien Hue province will continue to pay attention to and direct the Party Committee, the government and local authorities to promote their leadership role, step up propaganda and mobilize people to use cremation, because it saves costs, land, does not pollute the environment, and contributes to building a civilized and progressive society. Cremation can be considered one of the criteria for certifying the completion of new rural construction.

In particular, the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province is requested to promptly develop and propose to the People’s Council of Thua Thien Hue province to issue a policy to support costs to encourage people with permanent residence in Thua Thien Hue province to use cremation.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Van Phuong said that currently, cremation is considered a civilized and modern form of burial, helping to limit environmental pollution and has been applied by countries around the world for a long time.
Cremation has contributed to saving land funds, saving costs, and reducing the pressure on urban development caused by the formation of spontaneous burial sites. In a situation where the world has, is, and will continue to face pandemics of the century such as Covid-19, there is an urgent need for cremation facilities to ensure safety, environmental hygiene, limit the spread of disease, and ensure safety.

This facility is spacious, has beautiful scenery and is invested with many modern technologies, contributing to changing old customs, saving land funds and protecting the environment,” added Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong.

This form contributes to saving land funds and costs; reducing pressure on urban development due to the formation of spontaneous burial cemeteries.
In the context of the world facing pandemics such as Covid-19, crematoriums play a very important role in limiting the spread of the disease and ensuring safety. The inauguration of Phuc Lac Vien – Universal Crematorium is an important milestone in the formation of the first private crematorium in the province. The project has a spacious area, beautiful landscape and invested in many modern technologies.
